So yeah, I like stuff. I’m materialistic. I see pretty things for sale, and I think to myself, “I would like to have that.” Of course, like most people, I’m too poor to be able to buy anything that catches my eye all willy-nilly.
So, this is the next best thing. I’m making a little collection of images to help staunch my desire for things that I’d like yet can’t afford.

Mei’s Guardian Dragon ($74.99)
I’m a big-time sucker for dragons, and this would become immediately known if you’ve known me for any extended amount of time. And as a connoisseur of them, I think this is a lovingly-designed LEGO build of a dragon! Fantastic details all around, and impressively managing to make a sinuous eastern dragon out of bricks. Terrifyingly expensive for me right now.

Auspicious Dragon ($89.99)
This LEGO set is made during the same period as the other one, where the company was (still is?) trying hard to appeal to mainland China. Hence, this dragon!
I admit that I think everything about this is very nice, except for the eyes, which are too googly for me. I’d still have fun building this though. I’d simply try to replace the eyes with something else somehow.

Source Dragon of Motion ($149.99)
What is Ninjago? Everything I see about it seems positively cool, with such names as Dawn of Iron Doom, and, for this set right here, Source Dragon of Motion. I have no idea what that means, but man does that sound evocative as all heck. I particularly love the wing designs. The bonus flying fire dragons is also pretty good.

Crocodile Car ($59.99)
Let’s take a step back from all of those fancy dragons for a moment, and look at something simpler. It’s blue. It’s a crocodile. And it’s a car. I would be happier enough with a blue crocodile, but this one being a car isn’t too bad.

Pegasus Flying Horse ($49.99)
“Pegasus Flying Horse? That sounds awfully generic, doesn’t it–” Good lord, look at this wicked horse. It’s incredible.
You know, I don’t think I’ve seen an evil interpretation of Pegasus. This is quite regal and fearsome. Excellent design!

I also want to give special notice to the designs of the characters that come along with the pegasus model, namely that multi-eyed winged creature composed of shadows and flames. The Nightmare King’s snarling cape is pretty good too!

Dragon Stone Shrine ($119.99)
Just a neat set-piece. Has a decorated hollow interior where characters can live in, as well as a secret compartment for a powerful book. Still too expensive though.

Kai’s Source Dragon Battle ($37.99)
Admittedly, I just put this here because I really like the blue-and-red fire pieces. Those things are beautiful.

Nya’s Water Dragon EVO ($19.99)
Sort of the same deal with this set. The water horns showing that this dragon is made out of water is cool.

Arin’s Rising Dragon Strike ($9.99)
I’m simply a sucker for the lime green accents on this design. There’s also a neat feature (neat to me at least) in that the eyes are the result of a single green orb held in the mouth which you can remove if you please.

At this $9.99, this is affordable, but still overpriced in my personal opinion. I’m in a penny-pinching mood at the moment, and I’m more interested in admiring the design than buying.

Fantastical Tree House ($109.99)
I completely forgot about this, so when I returned two days later to look at what internet browser tab I left open and saw this, I thought to myself “what in the hell is this?”
So let’s break it down, and see what’s going on here in this one picture.
- A nightmare creature whose torso serves as a cage (a rib cage, if you will) to imprison people inside of, before flying off to god knows where.
- Old person on top of the tree house throwing out the devil horns hand gesture (I know this is because of the limitation of the LEGO minifigure hands, but let me have this), wielding a magical staff in their other hand, as they prepare to battle against demons.
- Little tiny slime and mushroom people.
- A blue tree that either has bursting elemental water as its foliage, or has color-coordinating massive crystal shard pendants from its branches.
- A nice swing for the tree.
- A carnivorous flower, who I’m sure is nice, but I don’t want to accidentally swing into.
- A terrifying sentient (and ambulant!) mailbox.
- And a room of the tree house that seems to be made out of slime.
There is a lot going on here, in a good way of course. I have no idea what LEGO Dreamzzz is, but the designs from it have been bangers.

Once again, I want to call attention to the designs of the minifigure characters, because they are very imaginative.

Exotic Pink Parrot ($19.99)
Last one for today’s list. This one features a lovely macaw… who’s pink??? What is this lovely madness? They’re perched above some equally lovely flowers too. What a tasteful and pretty combination.
And wait. You can also use the same blocks to make an equally colorful frog, or fish?
It’s only $20???
W-what, where can I buy this? I need to go get this ASAP. Thank you for reading!
